Seems like a pretty ridiculous argument to me.

So Apple isn't allowed to distinguish between messages using iMessage and those using SMS/MMS?

Why should Apple produce iMessage for Android when they would not benefit from it?

I've never had quality issues when receiving pics or videos from Android users, so I'm not sure what that part of the complaint is about.

I've heard of "green bubble shaming" and I do admit I don't like Android messages since I can't use all the features of iMessage with those users, but I find it funny this would actually be used as an argument in an anti-competitive lawsuit from the DOJ is crazy.

With the upcoming WWDC in June, RCS is rumored to be supported for texting with Android in iOS 18. The green bubble will reportedly remain though.

As anyone who has experienced the blue-green divide knows, the bubble culture wars involve more than just a carping over color differences.

I don't know that Apple is under any obligation to make the world a nicer place (or in this case, texting, a better experience) for the competition. LOL!!
