No! .. The concern here is spreading out the loss of income risk. Since nearly all CEF's at one point or another will probably cut their distribution, we don't want any significant loss of income.

The CEF's won't all cut at the same time, so when a couple do, it'll be easier to recover the lost income because the positions are smaller as will be the amount of the income decrease.

Thanks for the response.

Makes sense, especially for someone like yourself who can easily monitor the portfolio. I asked though, because if the "Older Folk" himself would ever need to monitor things by himself, would the larger number of positions overwhelm him.
