"Tell Me Again Who’s Getting Fcked Over By the Paris BS Agreement ?"

ChatGPT

ChatGPT

The Paris Agreement, adopted in 2015, aims to combat climate change by limiting global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, with efforts to limit it to 1.5 degrees Celsius. The agreement requires countries to set their own targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and to regularly report on their progress.

Critics argue that the Paris Agreement disproportionately impacts certain industries, particularly those heavily reliant on fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and gas. They argue that these industries face increased regulations and may experience economic challenges as a result of transitioning to cleaner energy sources.

Additionally, some critics argue that the burden of addressing climate change falls unfairly on developing countries, as they may lack the resources and technology to implement significant emissions reductions while also facing the impacts of climate change more severely.

On the other hand, proponents of the Paris Agreement argue that it is a crucial step in addressing the global climate crisis and preventing the most catastrophic impacts of climate change. They argue that transitioning to clean energy sources will create new job opportunities, stimulate innovation, and improve public health.

Ultimately, the question of who is "getting screwed over" by the Paris Agreement is subjective and depends on one's perspective. While some industries and countries may face challenges in transitioning to a low-carbon economy, the agreement is ultimately intended to benefit the planet as a whole by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating the worst impacts of climate change.

Exxon, Chevron, Shell, Peabody Coal, BP, etc.

You wish (along with the retards who recced your post). Greenie companies are going tits up, left and right, in spite of all the subsidies and mandates propping them up.

Meanwhile, my CVX (Chevron) stock has been appreciating nicely, along with paying a healthy dividend and my CEIX (coal stock) has almost doubled in the past year and pays a nice divi as well..
