The whole "Trump as dictator" is as you say nonsense. A perfect example is during "Covid" Trump allowed state governors to maintain their lockdown policies against his wishes. That aint no Dictator LOL! Just one example of many.

The usual response I get from Trump supporters falls into one of two categories: 1) Oh no, he didn't REALLY mean it. That's just his usual shittalking. 2) Brandon is just as bad, if not worse, than Trump. It's the usual denial and whataboutisms that I see from his supporters.
