Yep,

And now it's scaling rapidly.

Just look at Australia, especially South Australia. Now virtually 100% renewable electrical generation.

Their last coal fired plant shut down early over a year ago. Just not needed anymore and on many days of the year they export excess RE generation to surrounding territories.

Texas will be the first state here in the U.S. in less than ten years followed closely by California.

Solar PV is the cheapest form of grid scale generation today on the planet.

Hands down

(And Texas has a lot of sunlight!)
