Gregg,

Please explain this to me. What stock do you know that would support a price to earnings ratio of 107 in an industry that is growing at 15-20%? This is what the price to earnings ratio would be on a 15 dollar stock if the earnings were .14. I don't know about you, but I think buying a stock with this high a PE is very risky.

When H & Q says that the revenue recognition is conservative that means that Informix recognizing revenue the right way not that
that Informix has underestimated its revenue in future quarters.

I think Informix is a GREAT long term prospect. I think that Bob F. is going to bring this company back to its former glory. But, turnarounds take time. The stock price reflects the confirmation that Informix is alive and well and that it isn't going out of business. That's why it went from 4 to 9. Now, Informix must now show growth. If it doesn't, the stock price will go nowhere for a while. I am a little more realistic than I was a week ago because I have spent some time thinking about the current valuation.

Since you are a big one on what people have said, why don't you tell me what it means when Bob F. said that there is much more work to be done. Check the quote from his open letter posted on the Informix WEB page. We have successfully guessed how well Informix would do based on clues that Bob F. has given us. When he says that there is a lot more work to be done, what do you think that means?..

I appreciate your opinions, but I think you are missing the market phychology on this stock. Eventually you will be right, but I think you time line is out of sync with the markets. I think today's action is giving you that hint.

Good luck

Jeff Bertrand
