Finding the “right” one … Every dog we ever adopted started out as the “wrong” dog. If you really want another dog, ditch preconceived ideas as in finding a carbon copy of one you lost and simply follow your gut. The “utterly unadoptable / not your target” dog will very likely turn out a win win situation. You will feel really good about turning this “impossible” canine into a (near) perfect and very happy / grateful companion. I think you should take the next “dog plunge”.
