Well, I rest my case on space travel!!! That sounds absolutely gross. I cannot imagine the elegant Father Terrence in such cramped quarters, on the way to colonize a cool new planet, so I assume they will make rockets much more spacious and luxurious soon.

Tell me, Alex, what actually happens to, um, body waste in space? Are the cosmonauts plugged into tubes that whisk it away or something? My daughter asked me this question last night, and I was not sure. She said, oh gross, does it float around the cabin, and I thought not, but could not explain in scientific terms what does happen.
