Stock market-to-GDP for the UK doesn't really work because there are many, many private (family owned) businesses compared to listed companies. Very different to the US where public companies are in your face. Also, many of the LSE listed companies operate in the EU etc. so not all of their value is derived from the UK. Don't have the exact figures.

FWIW, the "best of Britain" is already listed on the NYSE so you don't have to go looking far unless you want to look in the micro-cap garbage bin where I struggle to find much of value. I'd go as far to say that UK stocks are reasonably priced.

Don't underestimate lease liabilities if you ever do look at the UK. Many retailers have gone bust in the last couple of years because of onerous lease liabilities.
