President Biden on Tuesday trolled former President Trump on the fourth anniversary of him suggesting Americans inject bleach during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Biden shared a video, marking that four years ago Trump infamously said, “I see the disinfectant, which knocks it out in a minute … is there a way we can do something like that? By injection inside, almost a cleaning.”

“Don’t inject bleach. And don’t vote for the guy who told you to inject bleach,” Biden said in his post on the social platform X.

The president has trolled Trump, his expected rival in November’s election, before for the injecting bleach comments.

“Remember when he told us, literally, inject bleach?” the president said at a campaign event last week. “Bless me, Father.”

After Trump’s remarks in April 2020, he faced broad pushback and scrutiny from the medical community. Trump suggested medical experts should study the use of light or disinfectant as a treatment for the disease after a top science official at the Department of Homeland Security shared research that said bleach and isopropyl alcohol each kill the virus within minutes.

Then-White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany accused the media of taking his remarks out of context, arguing that “President Trump has repeatedly said that Americans should consult with medical doctors regarding coronavirus treatment.”

I suspect you will try again to defend the corrupt media

Nope. Not a chance.

There are long lists of media lies favoring DNC doctrine (and Trump hatred) perpetrated by the NYT and WaPo.
That was the topic on the table. I was defending news stories at my primary news source , the WaPo, which I have been reading for decades and know how to read, and the NYT, which I don't read much, but came along for the ride.

I appreciate you offering the list. I am aware that those matters are sore spots. But the"media" is a huge thing. It even includes your sources. I cannot and will not defend all of what is published by the MSM. I've seen a lot of crap offered, as well. I stand by my position on the WaPo. At worst you can see their values in their reportage. They get breathless over some things and sound bored with others. And you can often tell whom they consider to be the good guys and the bad guys. But they don't lie and, when they make a mistake, they correct it.

Another thing. If they report that some official press release said such and such and it turns out not to be true, they are responsible only for correctly reporting what was in a press release. It's not their job to fact check the content, even if the content feels iffy, although one would hope in that case they would.

If by "Trump hatred" you mean fact checking, more power to them.
