That is partly true, but every demographic shows income directly related to how much school one has.

It is a perfect correlation.

And it does not just pertain to individuals, it pertains to societies e.g. Israel, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Singapore and Nordic countries.

The rural areas do not value education as much as urban areas. South especially!

In fact the Republicans have about 200 bills in to ban books with penalties for librarians.

I also sold real estate for 20 years, is that private enough for you?

The rural areas vote Republican because they are the least progressive.

The cities vote blue and the rural areas vote red.

In cities information is circulated and people learn, and think about getting higher education, but in rural areas people stay more traditional because they do not learn as much from each other and often do not seek higher learning.

In cities people live in an abstract world, while in rural areas, not so much. And practice makes perfect.

In fact the Republican party is down right anti intellectual e.g. the leading presidential Republican candidates in 2016 did not believe in evolution, or global warming, two things scientists know for sure.

And is the reason only 6% of scientists are Republican and the majority are liberal.

You worked in industries that government money flowed The flyover states were left behind when their primary work went to Japan and China Some states adapted like Pennsylvania but still took many many years let’s face it Alaska has always had a strong mining industry, oil , and fishing. If those didn’t exist Alaska would have failed too
