So your level of hostility is such that one can't be simply not Democrat and not liberal/progressive, one has to be actively hostile to Democrats?
No, this does not in any way reflect my thinking. I tire of unreasonableness quickly, and that is mostly what is out there today. As a current topical example, anyone engaged in the lawfare against Trump would engender hostility from me, as that is clearly, inexcusably politically antagonistic.

My term "anti-Democrat" was simply a characterization of McArdle's role within the paper's lineup. She is able to competently articulate reasonableness, which is not characteristic of Nicholas Kristof or Chales Blow, Paul Krugman, Ezra Klein or Maureen Dowd most of the time.

As I've indicated I gave up reading this stuff a long time ago. So, I have no opinion on their recent ramblings.

I am much more comfortable with honest brokers like Taibbi who can write a comprehensive piece that looks at (a) truth, and (b) all sides of an argument. One could hardly count on a Nicholas Kristof or Charles Blow to do that.

Do we just have two categories, MAGA vs everyone else
I am quite broad-spectrum but of course every American should be supportive of a "MAGA" objective; it is after all, an attitude that favors out country. I do NOT support the notion that the world continues to be America's protectorate but for the most desperate of circumstances.
