Tax time ….sucks ! I do use a professional to file thru even thou i have all my info gathered and capital gains etc tallied…..audits really concern me and i naively think that might make my return stand out less. I often put my order in for longer then a day expiry order. Questrade keeps me in queue for the following day(s) ….RBC with their Thor system resets the order queue at the end of each trading day…….the same system also breaks up the orders and simultaneously spreads them thru multiple exchanges. This apparently is to thwart HFT traders but all i get out of it is partial fills and my orders often do not show on level 2 so difficult to track as i will have a partial fill then see other RBC orders(same price) both buy/sell show on level 2 while i am stuck on a partial. Rare to even get an RBC cross fill.
