Re shopping services to find the cheapest prices for books online: Note excerpt from the red herring article: "And some retailers, determined not to let intelligent agents strip them of the advantage of their brand recognition, are working to make their databases impenetrable by shopping agents." My understanding is that particularly the CD sellers block access. Since the sites like www.acses.com cannot afford to advertise I doubt they will become a driving force, especially with blocking. Still, I didn't know that acses could check prices for a bundle of books - think I will give that feature a try.
