I know one fellow that would agree with you. And he has a pretty
fair reputation, too. His name is Peter Lynch. While he may not
favor options, he is a FIRM believer that the individual has the
edge on the investment "pros", IF the individual will stick to what
he knows.

I must paraphrase, as I do not recall the exact quote, but one of the things that drove Peter absolutely berserk was a M.D. who was involved
in computer stocks. The Dr. has detail people from every major drug firm calling on him daily, mailing him information on their latest
product, and even sending him free samples. So what does he do?
He gets off work & buys Tandon or Atari or Amdahl.

If you reaaly know the ins & outs of the computer business & are in touch with it on a daily basis, perhaps you will e-mail the rest of us
a picture postcard from the Bahamas when you retire? <g>
