We cancelled our cable, Jim, because my husband and daughter have television addiction problems they are trying hard to fight. What is going on at CNN today? Incidentally, I thought your recent post to Carol about Clinton was very logical and well-reasoned, and yet somehow his alleged moral transgressions DO have an impact on his ability to govern, and the moral fabric of America, but I am for some reason unable to articulate why at the moment, except that at some point smaller character issues become larger ones, and perhaps that happens with hundreds of women and the public spectacle. Certainly, I am the last person on earth who would want a religious right government of monogamous zealots, chosen for that and little else. I need to think about the apparent contradiction in my thought processes some more. I did want you to know I enjoyed your excellent writing on the subject.
