I will similarly only participate in free (and therefore anonymous) message boards. Proboards seems to function well. The public nature of proboard posts would necessitate some scaleback of information shared - - but our members' exchange of ideas is the major attraction. And, with a public board, there's the plus of potentially adding new quality posters over time.
