Close analog to this (among European population) is the US population, brought to a war frenzy in Iraq wars under two presidents, both named Bush. I don't think people who sobered up from that frenzy think the same way as their former selves under the frenzy. And how cynical is it to introduce NATO when people are at this weakened state rather than when they are sober? Just another example of underhanded tactics behind the NATO expansion.
