Obvious Tony the analysts think all consumers are like you

That's why they assume Braindead, aka "Covington", also known as kludge will satisfy the low end Intel market.

IBM , Intel unveil systems product

HILLSBORO, Ore., Feb. 18 (Reuters) - International Business
Machines Corp and Intel Corp on Wednesday unveiled a new
technology, called Alert on LAN, designed to lower the cost of
owning and operating business computers and computing networks.

This new technology is the latest introduction from the
IBM/Intel Advanced Manageability Alliance. It is a hardware and
software technology that alerts network administrators when a
PC has a problem, even if the PC is powered off or has no
operating system running.

From a systems management perspective, Alert on LAN helps a
network administrator react quickly and effectively when
problems occur, rather than waiting for input from the user.
The technology will be a new feature in Intel's 82558 LAN
on motherboard chip set. IBM will use this chip set in select
IBM commercial desktop PCs and other workstations.
