re: Putin is a reasonable thug. I believe that he would be satisfied (at least temporarily) taking over all of the land Russia controlled at the end of WW2. Going by the rule that the more critical a person is of Putin, the less he knows about Putin's statements / intentions firsthand. Putin's concern is "Russian world" places where Russians live. so let's see: Germany? No Austria? No Czech Republic? No Slovakia? No Poland? No Hungary? No Romania? No Bulgaria? No Yugoslavian successors? No Moldova? Partly Ukraine? Definitely Baltic States? Maybe But, go ahead, and continue to demonstrate ignorance / lack of knowledge, and I will try to fill in the gaps.
