Wharfie, Facebook and Instagram face EU probe over Russian disinformation (bbc.com) Sounds like a typical open-ended investigation of American tech by the European Commission aimed more at extorting money in the form of fines than at compliance with vague laws. Still, I believe Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube for matter really needs to open up their moderation practices. The whole practice of auto-banning, shadow-banning, removing posts and videos without warning, and combatting bots, really needs to be made public. And yeah, the bots will always be one step ahead, but so what? It's not like the current secretive practices, which is policed by underpaid contractors who don't give a Brandon about their jobs, is working all that well. Tenchusatsu
