rather than what places like NY and DC and eventually, almost all blue states will do -- that is, to make it perfectly acceptable for illegals to walk in a polling place and vote in a federal election, EVEN THOUGH we know they're illegal. More dots, more unicorns.

Your whole premise is ridiculous. Voting is an EXTREMELY low impact act. ONE vote is one of millions, and I debate every time I'm asked to do it if I really want to bother. I usually do it, but I always ask the question. On the other hand, voting illegally ( twice, or when you're not allowed ) has very serious penalties. There ARE serious checks in place to prevent that from happening. You have to register, present a current picture ID, have your name checked by a registrar before you're even given a ballot. The only people I know of that have been caught even TRYING to cheat are all from your tribe, who've probably believed the same bullshit you're spouting. Countable on two hands.
