And that's it? You're in? Not so fast...

Another case of him taking other people's statements without checking.

From the form.

First Time Voters Who Register by Mail

If you are registering to vote for the first time in your jurisdiction and are mailing this registration application, Federal law requires you to show proof of identification the first time you vote. Proof of identification includes: • A current and valid photo identification or • A current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or government document that shows your name and address. Voters may be exempt from this requirement if they submit a COPY of this identification with their mail in voter registration form. If you wish to submit a COPY, please keep the following in mind: • Your state may have additional identification requirements which may mandate you show identification at the polling place even if you meet the Federal proof of identification.

In the United States, some states do not require documentary proof of citizenship when registering to vote for federal elections. Here’s why:

  1. Federal Registration Form:

  2. Supreme Court Ruling:

On this subject, one of the typical Politifact "fact checks" illustrates how they admit thuth in the details while lying in the headline. Politifact says:
When people register to vote, they sign a form attesting under penalty of perjury that they are a citizen and eligible to vote.
And that is the END OF THE ROAD in most states. A few check a database somewhere. Most states just take their word for it.

So, yeah, that's it. That's the end of it.
