Sure. I am not defending our actions in the ME. Of our recent adventures, the only one I was in favor of was Afghanistan. Not that I thought the Taliban was involved with 9/11, but I wanted us to clean up the mess that Reagan left there by arming the warlords and washing our hands of the resulting clusterfuck. However, the one thing of any importance we didn't do was to address that. Now Dubya was keen on experimenting with conservative ideas in Afghanistan and Iraq that proved to be disasters, but did funnel a lot of money into the hands of conservatives. So I guess there is that. Regardless, it isn't the same as when Russia invaded Ukraine on false pretenses.
