Even stealth aircraft are vulnerable in today's airspace...
They were always vulnerable.

The F-117 Nighthawk, for example, was shot down in Serbia due to plain luck. (Not "dumb luck," mind you. Just luck of the draw.)

Stealth doesn't grant an aircraft complete invisibility to radar. All it does is greatly lower the chance of a missile getting a quality radar lock.

In any case, I hate to say it, but pilots are easy to find. There are way more quality pilots than aircraft.

Even the top pilots that graduate from the Air Force Academy in Colorado don't always get to fly the latest-n-greatest fighter jets.

Same with naval aviators, e.g. "Top Gun," Blue Angels, etc.
