Brumar, the thing is that Trump's character is not on trial here. His cover up of hush money payments is. The only thing that the jury needs to know about the sexual encounter was that it took place. They don't need details like Trump getting smacked on his fat ass with a rolled up magazine that has his picture on the cover. Dershowitz was correct to point this out. Even the judge in the case warned the prosecution not to go into too much detail about the sex, but the prosecution did anyway. The ONLY reason why the details are relevant is, like you said, "Donny boy" denies everything. Hence simply stating that a sexual encounter took place isn't enough, for "Donny boy" will just deny deny deny like he always does. The pron star has to give details, and her story needs to be plausible, so that the jury can be convinced that "Donny boy" is lying. And even in the court of public opinion, you know the story is plausible because you now see the Trump supporters saying, "I don't care who Trump has sex with." In other words, they too don't believe Trump's denials, but they're fine with that. Like Bill Clinton, who the Democrats claim didn't lie because "Anyone would lie about getting a blowjob," the Trump supports will claim that Trump didn't lie because "Anyone would lie about banging a pron star for money, then paying her to STFU about it."
