Neil,

Thanks for the info. Talk to you soon!
I just found this article about Asia commercial aircraft orders.

Boeing <BA.N> says no Asian orders cancelled

HONG KONG, Feb 18 (Reuters) - Boeing Co <BA.N> said on Wednesday it had not had any orders cancelled by Asian airlines due to the region's financial turmoil.

"No deliveries have been cancelled. There have been some movements in some delivery streams," Boeing spokeswoman Marta Newhart told a news conference.

She said Boeing was still in talks with Philippine Airlines <PHL.CN> but that the carrier's scheduled aircraft deliveries were still on order.

"They have not been cancelled but we are in discussions."

Philippine Airlines said in January it planned to cancel orders for four B747-400 aircraft.

Newhart said Boeing was working closely with Asian airlines which it recognised were facing difficulties.

"In some cases what we are finding is that we have to be creative in the way we deal with our customers," said Boeing spokesman Mark Hooper.

Newhart emphasised that airlines view aircraft orders as long-term commitments and that there is no consensus as to how long the economic slump in Asia will last.

"So if you are an airline customer, you are making 10, 20, 30 year decisions and you are also looking at the near-term impact of the economic situation," she said.

"You are going to think twice about restructuring your delivery streams."

Boeing expects aircraft deliveries to Asia may account for about a third of the company's projected 550 airplane deliveries this year.

Boeing said in January it expected to deliver 60 fewer airplanes than previously forecast to Asian customers over the next three years due to the region's current economic crisis.
