Well said...

The unfortunate fact of history shows that people are willing to be tolerant of the worst things while hoping things improve...

History also shows by the time the people begin to realise they better do something about it before it's too late, by that time it's already too late...

We are now in an accelerated rate of decline and we're also in the beginnings of a secular decline, this is not the same as a cyclical decline which is followed by a recovery...

In a secular decline there is no recovery and right now the people are still not ready to take action...

By the time the people are ready to take action it will already be too late, this has been proven time and time again all throughout human history and this is why civilizations fail...

People have not changed, only our technology has changed, we're still simple cavemen and cavewomen but now we have iPhones, electricity, and faster way to destroy ourselves...

You cannot count God out.
I would go further. His plans will not be thwarted.
We can be assured of this regardless of undesirable outcomes for this nation.

A prophet for our times: Habakkuk.

He complained about wickedness in his nation and effectively said: 'God, you're doing nothing. You're ignoring gross injustice.'

Then God's solution: The Chaldeans attack.

Then Habakkuk says: 'How can you use someone way more wicked than our nation, to punish us?"

Then Habakkuk undergoes what might be a transformation of perspective ... and leans into God in faith.

As much as I am thankful to have grown up in this country it is possible that it has come under divine judgement. All nations are temporary.

I pray for and desire restoration, but God's plans are His to know and execute.

There's that central verse in Habakkuk, quoted by the apostle Paul: "But (However) the righteous shall live by faith ..."
