- JFD - I learned the hard way to ride these things out. Yeah, right now VVUS is doing badly stock wise. In January, it was doing great. Who knows what the stock price will do tomorrow? I sure don't. - But I'm holding on b/c of all the cash; profits; and success VVUS has racked up; and will continue to experience on a going forward basis. - But for those of you who can time VVUS - or think you can - good luck. Out.

There is a reoccurring theme that this is a PFE vs. VVUS war. Drug vs. drug. As has been said before these are two different drugs for different target audiences. I think that IN THE LONG RUN both companies will have success with their respective drugs. My investment, in VVUS, is targeted at a turn around stock. PFE is not currently in that position. I think there may be less risk with PFE but there is potentially more reward with VVUS. This is an investment strategy, I have faith that the drugs perform as described for the conditions for which they are indicated. Ask any Pharmacist or MD all drugs have side effects.
