I like Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai and his system analysis. No answers, but a good attempt at describing the system we have. He a few pet hates and prejudices, but a lot of what he says is very good. Able and capable scientist. Light years ahead of a lot of them. The real reason why the system has problems is human nature itself. The only way that can be understood (and improved) is the purpose of religion and religious books. They provide the groundwork and guide on how to reduce the problems in the system. But systems analysis is a good way of helping understand and dealing with very large systems, like the human population of the Planet.
