Miraje, I would have responded to some points you made in your original post, but then you said the following ... If you want to continue on this subject, go ahead. I'm done with it, and really don't give a shit about it. That tells me in no uncertain terms that you aren't interested in discussing the issue any further. I called you out on it, only to have you come back and pretend that I'm the one resorting to "hyperbole." So let's go back to your original message, especially this part: Locking down schools and beating up little old ladies in the streets (as they did in Canada and Australia) and firing adults who refused the shots and the ultimate stupidity displayed by Governor Inslee in WA by banning fishing in lakes and rivers are just some examples of going "way overboard". Locking down schools is understandable. Even after the research and the data concluded that children were at much less risk of dying than old people, you can't fault parents, teachers, and administrators for their continued paranoia. Beating up little old ladies in the streets? Maybe you can prove to me how that was not only endorsed, but actually encouraged as part of official government policy. Because it seems to me that you are just using the incidents caused by a few assholes as "proof" that lockdowns are bad bad bad. Banning fishing in lakes and rivers, in hindsight, was indeed going overboard, but again, hindsight is 20/20, right? Meanwhile why should I value the opinion of someone who thinks vitamin D and exercise and other "immunity boosters" are going to help against COVID-19, or whatever the next pandemic will be? Seems like you are just another "holistic medicine" kind of person that I see all over the place. In any case, feel free not to respond. Unlike most people, I won't assume that a lack of response is a concession on your part.
