“It depends on your definition of gain-of-function research,” Tabak answered. “If you’re speaking about the generic term, yes, we did.”

He's just like you with his 'everybody does it' defense. So when it's banned as too dangerous in the US then "everybody" secretly funds it in China then lies about it?
