Gasoline and all fossil fuels (not to mention grid power) are expensive in the Hawaiian islands. Naw, Your just sore because I don't have a bill for utility power. (but I do feed a lot of excess PV generation into the grid benefiting my neighbors) PV's and storage even provides power for my BEV. No expensive, polluting gasoline required. No pollution and don't have to worry about the grid going down for numerous reasons as it does here multiple times a year. (Mostly as a result of windstorms) Keep paying your expensive and very polluting energy bills!
