I get advanced heads-up read from one of the authors :0)

Re <<Potentially, the most dangerous scenario would be a grand coalition of China, Russia, and perhaps Iran, an ‘antihegemonic’ coalition united not by ideology but by complementary grievances. It would be reminiscent in scale and scope of the challenge once posed by the Sino-Soviet bloc, though this time China would likely be the leader and Russia the follower.>>

I shall info Ronnie ...
Superb report, cover to cover, and am just adding a possibility for consideration, that being, perhaps instead it is the case the current Russo-China relationship is way beyond whatever transpired back in the 1950-1960s, including the time when Russia helped China to get under way with the atomic bomb, and further, just-saying, this time the relationship is one of co-equals, with Russia at the moment being the hot tip of the hot sword in Ukraine and around the planet, and China being the cold blade of the cold sword around the earth, for the sword being dual-edged. Or might be the case, more likely, there are two swords working.
