Anecdotal evidence. Not statistically important evidence...
Plea deals are not used to elicit false confessions under duress. That's a stupid-ass Q conspiracy theory.

Instead, plea deals are used to alleviate the work load of prosecutors and the court system.

And to achieve that, defendants are often incentivized to accept plea deals by having a bunch of charges dropped and offering very lenient punishments given the crimes involved.

In other words, plea deals favor the defendants 99% of the time. They DON'T lead to over-incarceration or overpopulation of jails with inmates who are "innocent."
