Bill,
Biden's war on energy was the catalyst. It persists because of his spending.
Technically inflation is no longer persisting, since it is nominally down to 3% this year.

But as you and I noted several times before, that's too late.

And Brandon and his hapless handlers have a tough time trying to spin that story in a positive light.

And yes, I include CNN, MSDNC, NPR, and all the usual left-wing media sources as part of his handlers.
