Turnarounds take time. I learnt it with WWW which I got into and bought and sold months too early. Seems market only cares about the cash flows these cyclicals can pump out coupled with some top line stability. VFC only shows one of these.

Fact is, VFC will slim, working capital will decline and revenues will crumble. Buying now, whilst the price is cheap, is probably a death wish.

The idea is that profits improve with a new management team and a focus on the core business. Seems most of my picks are along these lines. Problem is that I keep buying early. This time I'll sit it out for a couple of quarters and wait for the words of management to materialise.

The moment management begin to actively get rid of the fat weighing down the business, I'll begin to buy shares. That seemed to be a turning point for WWW, anyway. Also remain out of CUTR - the moment inventories turn into a cash tailwind, I'll jump back in. There are a few other similar situations but I've got an exam in a few hours and my mind doesn't want to recall them!

Also, management doubled down on not refinancing debt. Transcript is worth a read:
