The Glasgow accent is harsh, and they do speak quickly. However the English guy just immerses himself happily with a big grin in "not understanding". A lot of British history right there. Abroad, many people find a normal Scots accent easier to understand than an English one. Some Scots accents are difficult for most people, go North and West of Inverness and it gets tough, they use so many different words too. Just watched the first few minutes of this... it's classic Edinburgh versus Glasgow -lol-. Just 50 miles.
