Yep, that is part of the problem for Biden. Huge dichotomy between those of us that own homes and investments, and those just starting out. This might be the first generation that is priced out of owning, we will see going forward. Thing is, if Chump had won, the supply chains would still have been a problem, inflation would still have risen, and the same with home pricing.

One more thing on housing. Whitney has made some decent calls in the past, her current view on the future of housing caught my eye. Quite a different view from the 'horde' of analysts out there.

Meredith Whitney, who previously forecasted the financial crisis in the mid-2000s, sees downside for the housing market, driven by changes in behavior among younger men. She sees the beginning of a multiyear decline in housing prices as the lower levels of household formation among men negatively impact demand.Apr 9, 2024
