I ran a scan of our database and, amazingly, this is the only occurrence of this kind of glitch in the last 100,000 posts (that's as far as I went back). I doublechecked all of the relevant code, and it's impossible (at least logically) for this to have happened. Something broke in the middle of doing something somewhere. I suspect Mitch got an error message; I'll ask him. At any rate, it's definitely not a recurring thing. I restored the post into your "To me" box (better late than never!). As for the intermittent downtimes today...we had a few more around 8pm. It turns out there was a bug/restriction in the spellchecker libary code where a "word" longer than 64 characters was (sometimes) crashing the server. It's fixed now. Serves me right...I was boasting to Jeff this morning about how robust the SI technology is.
