The comment I put in my Grade 10 year annual read

'I'm going to study chemistry in university. I want to become a radical."

I actually did start in on an Honours degree in Chemistry and Physics at the age of 16, but after a few years I switched to Mathematics and Sociology, the latter being where I was exposed to 'radical' ideas, which to me usually seem common sense.
