My take on CTXS, FWIW.

The 40 day EMA has turn down slightly. My gut tells me that the momentum players are getting bored with CTXS and moving on to more exiting games (like AOL?). But it does seem to have successfully tested resistance at 65 and looks like it could bounce up over 70 again. I've been treading water with a short position for a few weeks now, once weakness sets in to the market in general, I think this high flier will nose-dive.

I'm out of AVNT 'cause I can't figure it out at all now.

Lots of should be, but it seems that no one can really tell where the market will go. It was not long ago that the market was like hell (for longs), and now heaven (again for longs).
DELL will only rise tomorrow. And unfortunately it will move the whole tech sector up again in the short term. The analysts have been warning for more than a week for people to take profits (they have short positions somewhere?) and yet no one really listens. DELL will probably penetrate 120 in the next two days and then succumb to some profit taking. I think that it will rise to 140 or so before it splits. I don't short stocks often (no short position now) and one of the shorts on this board sent me a personally note saying that his worst mistake in the past is to short a big name high flyer (ala DELL, YHOO!, AOL).
Good luck. Bear's turn should come some time down the line. Maybe after the Nastaq hits new record and DOW hits 8600.

larry!

Tim,

We covered our DELL short options a few days ago due to earnings coming up. We are trying to sell the March 120 calls this morning.

I covered 1/3 of my CTXS short the other day at $64. Thinking it could bounce back to the low 70's. It has support between 63 and 65.
If it breaks this support level after another small run up or two we should see the mid 50's.

We like AVNT with support at 14 to 15 it should break down to 10 or 11. We did have one broker call AVNT back due today but we are going to ignore the call and see if they find some or cover the position.

Have a good day
Mike
