The key point is totalitarian. Strict ridged rule from the top. Doesn't mean much being Left or Right. The little people just get to do what they are told or suffer the consequences. It's a tendency with all political parties. When the "climate commies" take over, we will be more benign, and allow more freedom of expression. Ex carbon elites will be allowed to travel coach class but without the security detail. That was a tad excessive on their part. If they fear for their wellbeing, my suggestion will be: "Well, try and be a bit more popular with your fellow coach class travellers". Is that being fair or what? What to do with the luxury private jet biz? That is the question. I think it should be allowed to flourish within reason, maybe we could have some sort of popular holiday cruises in private jets? Tickets by lottery overseen by loyal party officials or something -g- My family got hooked in too. A lot of people trusted their government. My sojourn in the USA involved too many hunting trips with ex military right wing nutcases. That was my re education kamp. Seems to have done the trick.
