Businesses provide plastic bags (at 25 cents a pop) as a convenience to the customer.

The California pygmy wannabees here in WA mandate a charge of 8 cents a bag (plus a penny sales tax). Most people I notice in the stores just pay for new ones every time and then throw them away. Since these so called "recyclable" bags are thicker and contain at lease twice as much plastic as the old ones, they just clog up the landfills quicker.

And then the ban on plastic straws. Fucking idiots. I wonder if the fentanyl needles are recyclable? Or if they can use the shit on the sidewalks for fertilizer?
