In general the Democratic appointments were far superior!

You are not looking at the big picture of what the parties USUALLY do!

Look at the supreme court today, They are ALL fools or criminals!

Time and again the Democrats nominate intelligent humanitarians and the Republicans nominate right wing fools.

And the Republicans saw Souter and Warren as "mistakes"!

Which I mentioned.

And Scalia was a religious fanatic, and smart, but who made decisions based on his primitive Catholic dogma, not modern ideology and used his brains to hurt the country, not help it, like Barrett is doing today!

"In the last 80 years the Republicans have made horrible appointments of idiots"

Like Earl Warren, John Paul Stevens, Warren Burger, and David Souter? I'm sure R's would agree with your assessment. OTH, we appointed Whizzer White and Abe Fortas, who, while maybe not idiots, certainly weren't helpful to the cause.

Was Scalia an idiot, or is the person who thinks he was an idiot cuz of his decisions the idiot? I tend to think it's the latter.
