Larry- DELL has had quite a run, but the split announcement should help it. I'd be happy to be out with a point or two loss, but I also am using it as a hedge. I have a lot of long positions and most are technology issues. The hardest thing for any investor to do is take a loss, long or short because its an admission of error. I've lost more money short DELL than made, but I've made good money on the short side during this entire bull run. The biggest mistakes I've made have been getting out of stocks like ZITL, VIAS, DDIM and VVUS too soon.

Best Wishes

Timoteo

<However, can you tell me why bears are usually pretty stubborn about their position?>

Not picking on you but just go to the DELL thread, the ZITL thread the VVUS thread, the CTXS thread, or any number of the other threads that the longs are bullish on and see how stubborn they can be! I guess it works both ways, but I see the longs being married to their stocks more the the short sellers are to theirs!
