if the tax is withheld , for a US tax payer, that amount is a credit for any US taxes owed. So, if $1000 is withheld, a US taxpayer will get a $1000 credit on US taxes owed.

Regarding Adaro dividend. Yes, about US$.64 per share is what i got. In a retirement account, so I "lost" 20% of that to taxes. If that dividend were to be maintained on semi-annual basis, it'd amount to $1.02 received (after withholding tax) on what today is an $8.31 stock -- so possibly a 12% yield.
