I don't know what you are talking about though I am glad you edited the post.

I've only used a pick axe once. The first day of work on a golf course I had to dig a trench with a pick axe, I was very happy when it rained the next day.

I don't know the economics of farming. I remember a time when while uncle Lewis was talking to dad he called his farm a hobby farm and I think he was saying he didn't have enough land. I think he had two quarter sections though I'm not sure.

As for girls named Elizabeth. I worked with one who was an engineer and there was a day when after hours I walked into the engineering area with a question and she was the only engineer I found, when I asked my question she answered it like it was a simple question. If I refer to the carefully crafted letter to uncle Martin and his daughter, there are also some pages of family tree information. The understanding is my grandma Mary whose name they say was Maria (nee Frommel) had a half-sister named Elizabeth (nee Frommel) Poss who's mother's name was Elizabeth Frommel.
