It's just the AI features that won't run on the most recent Intel Macs. My 2019 Intel iMac will run macOS Sequoia but not the AI features of it. The 2017 iMac Pro can also use it.

I'm not sure what you mean, what types of files? I don't remember seeing anything in the keynote related to file types not being compatible.

I have a 2020 MacBook Pro with the 2.3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 processor and according to the graph posted by Zen, it will support the new OS.
