taking a drug to end your suffering is better than blowing your brains out leaving a mess for your family, I've known a few people who committed suicide and one assisted death, while I did not see the bodies of those who killed themselves, a couple of the deaths were horrific. I was with a Cousin who decided to end her suffering in a hospital setting, it was peaceful

BC, the excuse by the anti-gun lobby is that easy access to guns makes suicide too tempting of an option.

Get rid of the guns, and maybe a few more people who originally entertained suicidal thoughts would reconsider.

Add in the usual "If it saves one life, it's worth it," and you have the going gun control narrative.
